My involvement with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Iraq Section reflects my deep commitment to advancing the technology profession, mentoring the next generation, and building a vibrant technical community in Iraq. Since 2015, I have held multiple leadership roles, organized major conferences, and contributed to making IEEE Iraq one of the most active sections in the region.
Leadership Roles
Iraq Section Treasurer
2023 - PresentManaging the financial operations of the Iraq Section, ensuring fiscal responsibility, budget planning, and transparent financial reporting to support the section's activities and growth.
Iraq Section Vice Chair
2019 - 2022Served as the second-in-command for the Iraq Section, supporting the Chair in strategic planning, event organization, and member engagement. Played a key role in establishing the IEEE Computer Society - Iraq Chapter in 2019.
Membership Development Officer
2017 - 2019Led initiatives to grow IEEE membership in Iraq, focusing on recruiting students, young professionals, and senior engineers. Developed outreach programs and engagement strategies that significantly increased membership numbers.
Iraq Section Secretary
2015 - 2017Managed all administrative and communication functions for the Iraq Section, including meeting minutes, official correspondence, and coordination with IEEE global headquarters. Ensured compliance with IEEE policies and procedures.

Since 2016Elevated to IEEE Senior Member status in recognition of significant professional experience and contributions to the field of electrical and electronics engineering.
